Fox doesn't seem to tolerate scifi shows for very long. So one wonders why they even picked up Dollhouse in the first place. Also scifi in general isn't well liked by the general tv watching public. Shows like this usually do better on smaller networks like Syfy or Fx. This show started off kind of slow in the first season and then found it's footing by the end. The second season started off kind of boring but finally started picking up. While not a huge fan of Dollhouse I will sad to see it go as it will surely be replaced by some lame reality show that people can't seem to get enough of. RIP Dollhouse.

wow, dollhouse was overhyped and way over-rated by its tens of fanboys. i tried to keep an open mind through the first season, and the last episode (where it was set in the future) was an effective piece of story telling that should have been a fitting end to this show. The fact that it got a second season boggles the mind. And talk about totally under-utilizing dushku - what a waste. maybe the lesson he should have learned is that tv is not for him anymore and he should try more innovative stuff like Dr. Horrible. that's my two cents anyway.

I refuse to feel bad for Joss Whedon at ALL. The man was effed over by Fox before and can't seem to learn his lesson. I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. I wasn't a huge fan of Doll House because I resented it going on and Terminator getting cancelled instead.

Joss's shows worked well on UPN/WB type networks before they were CW, and with CW having shows like Smallville in their ranks, I'd think it'd be a perfect place for Joss to launch another show. Buffy lasted on those networks forever, as did Angel, and to not stick with a company that's treated you that well is just dumb.

I'm sorry but Joss needs to stick to making online musicals, writing comics, and maybe one day he'll put a show out on a network that's not going to fuck him.. like SyFy. You put Dollhouse on SyFy and it'd have been a huge hit, but nooooooo.
