New PERCY JACKSON Trailer As Long As Its Title
The new trailer for PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS: THE LIGHTNING THIEF (did I miss any words, there?), courtesy of MSN, runs about at about 2:24. In that time, we get an intro to Percy, an intro to the Gods, talk of a war (hello, franchise), and that inevitable “wooshing” sound that comes with any of these high-budget, Hollywood, adventure movie trailers.
Of course, this is a movie that co-stars Ray Winstone, Uma Thurman, Kevin McKidd, Steve Coogan, and Joe Pantoliano, and, save for a few flashes here and there of a few of them, this trailer offers a severe lack of any of them. Instead, we get CG dragons, CG winged creatures, and CG ogres. I guess that’s a fair exchange.

the books are good, and theres logan lerman and alexandra daddario, and yeah its gonna be CG stuff this is an adventure
why the HECK!!! is Grover black! I need answers, you would imagine him as a small red head kid with reed pipes. But NO!!!! They have to jack that up too.

grover wears a rastafarian hat in the first book, and on the 2nd book it talks about his curly hair. i think Brandon Jackson is perfect. and Logan Lerman is perfect.
will have to reserve judgement for the annabeth actress til i see the film. but, yes, the dark hair is off-putting. i wish she at least dyed her hair blond. [personally, i think casting someone like annasophia robb would have been a better fit physically].

the movie is not going to be the same as the book at all. it will not follow much of the same plot either. it is going to stray a lot

I LOVE these books the movie will be bad I can alreaty tell don’t think the director even read the books! Someone needs to fix this. Cause this is the best book I have ever read and I don’t want the movie to be bad! They messed it up and I’m ssssoooo upset! These people must be crazy if they make this movie if it goes into theters then they better fix it!

You have to read the books! They are amazing! If you have read Harry Potter, they are like the U.S. version. The books are not slow, and I read each book in one day. Don't just go see the movie and than read the books, you'll get too confused. Every book is always better than the movie. Go PJ!

Logan seems more mature for a 12 year old though. I hope they don't stray too far from the original storyline.

Compaired to other movies like Eragon this movie looks outstanding it looks like they followed the book very very very closley.
i'm kinda disappointed that they didn't exactly pick twelve year olds. not spazzing or anything… but they look kinda like 15, or 16. so that'll screw the books. but this movie looks awesome.
