It looks too dark and glomy as if filmed in the UK rather than sunny Greece. The armour is also middle ages inspired rather than classical hoplite design. Liam Nelson playing Zeus with dark hair doesn't work as Zeus is traditionally depicted as older and grey haired. Just once I like to see an actual film about Greek mythology filmed in Greece with Greek actors instead of Anglo-Saxons playing Greeks.

I hope they get the effects right. The magic of the original was Harryhaussen. Yes computers had come and effects were bigger and better at the time it was made, but this was a work of love. It was the swan song for one of the most magical cinema artists ever. I cherished his work as a child. I rushed to see Sinbad, Jason, and Gulliver. I got goosebumps when I stood in line to see the Original and like Josh, I would be very upset if it sucked.

I'm really hoping they don't screw this up because the Original was one of my favorite Movies, Maybe like in my top 25 of all time.
I think this would be one of the few movies I would be actually upset about if it wound up sucking, I rarely have High hopes for any movies but I do for this one.

Agreed! This is looking damn good! Whadya think... if it does well, are we bound to see a new trend in mythology remakes, and maybe even some new stuff?

Man this movie keeps looking more and more awesome. Hopefully this does well and we get a God of War flick soon. Hell Mr. Worthington could even be Kratos, though my choice is Gerard Butler.
