Why do you fear the Americanization of Cowboy Bebop when it's steeped in Western culture and all the characters are white? last I checked I'd be pretty hard to find a Japanese guy named Spike Speigel or Jet Black. That entire show is a Japanese interpretation of Western Culture so i think it's fine.

As long as they don't "Americafy" the fucking thing because they feel that not as many eyes will be on the screen if you have Asian leads or an Asian setting. I fear the adaptations for Akira and Cowboy Bebop, if and when they happen.

I would honestly like an unknown or relatively unknown (like Duncan Jones) to direct this, because I don't want a vision for this that I've already seen.
