‘Halloween 3D’ gets it’s director

patrickh3d

Rob Zombie is out… Patrick Lussier is in. The ‘My Bloody Valentine 3D’ director has signed on to direct the next installment of ‘Halloween’ which will pickup where Zombie’s ‘H2′ left off. However this time we are going to see a 3D Michael Myers for the extra scary effect. We get this from Empire:

Some reports last week put Steve Miner (Friday the 13th parts 2 and 3, Halloween H20) behind the camera, but that always seemed spurious. Lussier makes more sense, having been working with Dimension in one capacity or another forever, editing the Scream series and directing the DTV Dracula films. Most recently he was behind My Bloody Valentine, so he has the 3D skills to pay the bills.

So it seems as if Rob Zombie really isn’t going to be involved anymore, but if you remember back they did something very similar with ‘H2′ before Zombie signed back on. We will have to wait and see boys and girls.

  1. How can this pick up from where Zombies sorry H 2 leaves off?
Either completely remake the series, or let The Shape die with some dignity.
Step away from what Zombie did and go back to the essence of Halloween.

  2. Oh, and please release this around Halloween….

  3. What the fuck!!! Zombie did the H2 so no one would “fuck up” his vision and hes going to allow this!!! Plus they r using the director of the cheesy piece of crap “my bloody valentine 3d”!!! If he directs it im gonna be pissed cus hes ganna do WAY more than just fucking it up!!! Either get zombie to direct it (and do it the way he did in h1, not shaky kills like h2) or just DROP IT and leave it alone!!! Fucking money whores!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Common Sense says:
