DEADMAN was a project that first got wind about three years ago when Warner Bros saw it as a potential vehicle for Guillermo del Toro to direct. The film would be based on the DC Comics title written by Arnold Drake and illustrated by Carmine Infantino.

The character first appeared in print in 1967, telling the story of a circus acrobat who was murdered, but now whose ghost has the power to possess the living in an effort to hunt down his killer and also help the innocent along the way.

Danish filmmaker Nikolaj Arcel (ISLAND OF LOST SOULS) has been selected by del Toro and Warner Bros to direct the live-action feature film adaptation. The screenplay will be adapted by Gary Dauberman (SWAMP DEVIL).
