Instead of total domination, they are taken to slums and treated horribly! We treat our animals better! While it clearly takes influence from earlier works of alien social science-fiction, such as Alien Nation and Enemy Mine, the film has a very unique style of it's own and a style we haven't really seen to much of in the genre. The special FX are incredible, especially considering the budget. I am eager to see this a second time! I really enjoyed this movie, but it took me a few days to fully realize how much I appreciated the film as a whole.
