Hard to believe PAPILLON didn&#039;t make a better showing at the Oscars that year. Excluding THE STING, 1973&#039;s nominated films in the Best Picture category was a mess and the fact that Fred J. Koenekamp&#039;s cinematography wasn&#039;t given the nod is a crime. </description>
