Friday DVD Giveaway Part 2: ‘Adventureland’
This is the 2nd part of our double Friday DVD Giveaway, and it happens to also be one of my favorite films this year. ‘Adventureland’ was a fantastic film that I ended up seeing 3 times before it even got to theaters on the festival circuit and each time I got better.
What you need to do is leave us a comment below and let us know if you were working at ‘Adventureland’ for the summer would you be a Rides person or a Games person? Personally id rock the Games because being in charge of prizes would be a dream come true! Plus how many sweet freebies would you score? Its definitely a Win/Win! We will pick winners at random and you will be notified via EMAIL so don’t put in any fake email addy’s or someone in Nigeria might be getting your copy!

I'd wanna be games cause if I were rides, I'd be TERRIFIED that I'd mess it up and kill someone. Me and technology aren't the GREATEST of friends. So games, all the way!
I would want to work the rides for sure! I'd be the girl who is the last one you see with 2 fingers up, which usually means everything is good to go for the ride. I could watch the people who are screaming and be like, "haha…have fun"!

I would want to work in the Games part of Adverntureland as well. I would want to be as close as possible to Joel I sort of have a nerd crush on him. Plus I would want to be able to just goof off all day and I would not want to have to sit by a ride all day cause most of them probably smell like puke etc. :D Love this movie.
Definetly the games, pwn those kids.
Rides. Reason? Lisa P and her dancing.

I've not seen the movie but have wanted to. If I worked there I would hope it was like King's Island in the 80s. Then I would totally spend all the time in Hanna Barbera Land drinking slurpee like things in the Adventure Tunnel while listening to Quiet Riot on my Walkman. Then I'd catch a nap in the Mystery Machine. Every day.
I would be a games person. You just get to sit back and relax with no worries of anyone dying on your watch.
Games all the way. Competition is always better.

I would be a games person. It would be so much fun to interact with people in a different way in each game. And hopefully Kristen Stewart would be there too ;)

Clearly I'd be Games, no way I'm cool enough to hit the Rides.

I would totally be a games person. No one in their right mind would put me in charge of a ride. I’m the epitome of clumsy, so when it comes to other people’s lives I don’t think I would do very well. Plus I’d rather give out prizes and put on a bit of a show for people. Maybe my clumsiness would come in handy there.

I’d be a games person. Free birthday presents for my friends an family and tons of nearly dead fish!
I would want to work the games. This way I am in the shade and have the chance to sweet talk the girls that walk by. Laugh at the jocks who lose and have fun with my friends. Who knows maybe I would find a great girl.

Definitely rides. Those games can be infuriating and who wants to make children cry?
Totally a games person. I'm all into watching kids spending their parents money on a cheap stuffed thing you can get for $5 down at the store. Think claw machine times 10.
I would work the rides. If I did games, I'd be beaten up by someone who desperately wants a toy. Rides is a step above, plus their shirts are red!
Games. You have to do a little hustling for games. Rides will just be too rountine.
I'd do rides as long as I didn't have to clean up the puke.
Frankly, I worked at an amusement park in my teens and it wasn't all bad. Sure, I would shoot myself if I were to work there now but I'd definitely choose rides over games. See, at rides, you have the satisfying aroma of power surround you as you deny a child because he's 0.3 inches too short to ride your one minute and thirty second ride which he'll most likely hurt his knees on because everyone hurts their knees on this ride; it's just a horrible cart design. Games allows you to bask in the failure of some buff cellphone salesman trying to score an extra large Shrek doll for his plastic bimbo of a girlfriend but for me, having the power to ruin a child's day goes a lot farther in the scheme of things.
I would ride the rides.. but for working, I would work the games, I'm too much of a people person to work the rides :)
GAMES! i worked games at Chuck E. Cheese. I gotta move up in the world and hit the big time.
I'd be a rides person, cos who doesn't love getting bribed by people to stop the ferris wheel at the top for that "special" moment!
Games for sure. it's just baiting in the cuties to spend money to toss their rings onto my poll, oh no wait, that's definately male prostitution. shit, I'll just say rides.

Hmm…with rides there's the puke potential & with games there's the dissatisfied customer danger. Probably games, because you could talk to your friends, you'd most likely never be "liable" or get thrown up on (although there's the remote possibility of the errant dart).
Games. I want to steal a giant ass panda.

I would definitely say rides because just think…if you had some jerk giving you crap, when you check their seatbelt, you could lean in and give them that all knowing look while whispering….I have YOUR life in MY hands. Then you smile and walk away, and keep lookin' @ 'em when you throw the switch. Hehe….it's the small thrills in life really lolol
i would work games because i tend to people watch too much and if i did rides, i would probably get distracted by people passing by and forget to turn off the ride or something worse. bad situation.
Definitely games. I think just looking at the rides would make me hurl, nonetheless running them.

If I worked at AdventureLand, I would def be a games person. I did it at a couple of school carnivals to help out…and it's REALLY fun….and you can help someone win!
I would definitely work in games because I have the power to say who gets a toy or not, plus I would be brutally honest that the toy in question is a piece of crap that was made for like 10 cents in indonesia by children and the fact that they are playing the game is contributing to child labor and that I hope they feel good about themselves for screwing over the children.
I'd be all about the games. Working rides would be a bit freaky and I was never really fond of riding them myself, so I'll stick with games!!
