‘Prince of Persia’s New Posters

Empire magazine has unveiled these two, new, extremely stylish posters for ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.’   They look more like covers for Empire magazine than actual movie posters, but who are we to question Jerry Bruckheimer?Check ’em out:

With the video game as the basis, Bruckheimer pushing it along, and Jake Gyllenhaal starring, this looks to be one of the biggest films coming out next Summer.   We will be able to gauge the film a bit better once we see some actual footage from it, though.   It seems likely that at least a teaser will be in front of ‘G-Force,’ another Disney/Bruckheimer collaboration coming out this Friday.

Based on the popular video game, ‘Prince of Persia’ tells the story of Dastan (Gyllenhaal), the heir to the king’s throne who teams with a mysterious princess (Gemma Arterton, whose seems to be burning holes into you with her eyes above) to recover the Sands of Time from the villainous Nizam (Sir Ben Kingsley).   Mike Newell (‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’) directs.

‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’ comes out on May 28th, 2010.
