‘Van Wilder: Freshman Year’ Trailer
Looks like ‘Van Wilder’ has gone the way of ‘American Pie’ and they are starting to do direct to DVD films. This one is called ‘Van Wilder: Freshman Year’ which stars Kristen Cavaleri from The Hills and Laguna Beach. You can check out the trailer below:
Here is the synopsis:
The man. The myth. The beginning. It is freshman year at Coolidge College and Van Wilder (Jonathan Bennett) is ready to party. To his dismay, all the girls have taken a vow of chastity and an uptight Dean (Kurt Fuller) rules the school. Van embarks on an epic crusade to land the campus hottie, Kaitlin (Kristin Cavallari) and liberate his school from sexual oppression and party dysfunction. No cheerleader will be left untouched and no keg will be left un-tapped in this prequel to the original.
I really dont know what to think of this series now. I really liked the first ‘Van Wilder’, then they did ‘Rise of Taj’ which was decent but a direct to dvd starring a reality TV star? Ehh..what do you guys think?
Okay, I really wanted to hate it. Before I even watched the preview I was already hating it. But it doesn’t look that bad. I wish more of these American Pie type movies paid tribute to wild college shenanigans equal to Animal House, but I suppose that’s asking for too much. A lot of hot girls and some raunchy humor. No harm done but I have too many other movies I want to see first.
Kristin Cavallari! She’s nice to look at but she was pretty bad in Finger Prints. I think her best scene was when she draws a bath.
