I went to see my favorite film The Poseidon Adventure on the big screen in NYC in Jan with 150 diehard fans in the audience. It was a terrific experience. The flood walls and the parking lot north of the Arch was the prison. The chase was also used as was the storefront next to the fox theater. I forgot the exact words, but I know that St.Louis was chosen because they felt it was so run down in 1980 that it would look like a desolated New York in the future. Isaac Hayes was there with the car he drove in the movie ('77 Cadillac Fleetwood sedan with the fender-mounted chandeliers!)He let people, including myself, sit in it...One of my favorite Drive-In memories.
