Who Wants a Signed ‘Girlfriend Experience’ Poster?

Scott got a chance to see ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ at Sundance and he highly recommended it. You can check out his review right HERE. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to see this for myself at Tribeca but I am looking forward to checking it out soon. In the meantime, we are giving away 1 poster for the film signed by its star, Sasha Grey.

To win the poster below (but signed and real), just tell us your craziest encounter with an escort and/or why you need this poster. Extra points if you combine the two. Yes this is a fiction-writing contest but think Twitter in length of your entry. Keep them short and try not to get too vulgar. Contest ends Friday night unless we decide to extend it based on the responses. Good Luck!

  1. OF all my many experiences with escorts one tops them all. I called up the service and asked for some one that looked like Carrie Fisher. Sadly the person who showed up looked quite a bit more like Harrison Ford. A large gruff man in a mini skirt. They saw that I was a movie nerd and muscled their way into my nerd sanctuary and they took all my favorite movie memorabilia. My signed cloverfield press kit, my signed Lost in Translation Poster and worst of all… they took all my Sasha Grey porno.

Here I am without any signed posters, or Sasha Grey porn… this would sure fill a void in my life. (I really enjoyed this film)

  2. And we are off to a good start. Great entry Kent. It definitely seems like the signed Sasha Grey poster will kill two birds with one stone for you. Good Luck!

    this movie rocked so hard.

  4. Sean McDevitt says:

My entry for the signed poster below. Thanks for reading.

The stench of desperation filled the room. It all congealed into a mass of sweat, stripper perfume and madness.

A giant pink neon outline of lips illuminated the DJ booth. The DJ himself was probably 45, 150 pounds overweight and knew the words to every 80s hair metal song. What did strippers dance to before Motley Crue?

The club was decorated in early American red light district — red tables, red lights and red stage. The patrons didn’t notice the decor. They were there to see the show. Lacey.

Lacey wasn’t her name, but it didn’t matter. Nobody used their real name. Knowing real names was a power few had.

Other girls were visibly hateful to her. Those lucky enough to get a stage seat were bouncing like a nine-year-old on Christmas Eve. She took the stage in all her flowing blonde hair, tan tight body and black stripper boots glory. The money floated out onto the stage as if twenty-five ATMs started spitting out bills. She didn’t disappoint.

Most of the other girls didn’t dance. They catwalked to the edge and wrapped their legs around a mark’s head. Sometimes they slapped a mark around with their tits. Lacey did none of these things. She danced. And when she danced, it was like magic.

The Japanese businessmen cut short their animated conversation to stare. A pool game in the back moved in for a closer look. The VIP room was shut, but no one was in there.

Lacey danced and the world stopped.

I found her later. She had slipped out of her admirers clutches just long enough to escape through the backdoor. She wore a white g-string, a black piece of lingerie and the aforementioned boots. I was back there to get some night air away from the blue haze of cigarette smoke. I smiled and she smiled back.

It was October and the first hint of crispness was in the air. I gave her my coat and I think it might have been the first bit of kindness she had been shown in a very long time. At least a bit of kindness that didn’t involve $20 bills changing hands.

She asked if I wanted a dance later. I declined and she was in disbelief. No one turned down the great Lacey for a dance. I said I just liked watching her dance. I think she laughed a bit at that one. It was akin to someone saying they buy Playboy for the articles.

I went home alone. The next morning I grabbed my coat to put on as I was heading to work. I fished for my keys in the front pocket and found a pack of matches from the club the night before. I don’t smoke and didn’t remember grabbing them.

Examining the matches closer, I open the pack and see a phone number with the words, “call me.” Two names were visible. One was Lacey, but it was X’d out.

Below it was the name Mary.

  5. Sean, that is an awesome entry. Not at all what I expected when I started this contest. Very well written, sir.

Looking forward to more great entries.

  6. I want this poster because when I show it to someone and they say, “Oh, cool poster! What is The Girlfriend Experience?” I can then say that it’s a movie starring my friend Sasha who signed it for me and that we can watch it in HD because I just recorded thanks to the marvels of a DVR and HDNET… I’d also make sure she read the tagline, twice, before we did watch it. Know what I’m saying?

Because I’m trying to sleep with her.

  7. So you are saying that if you win this poster, we will help get you laid. Well, we here at WAMG are known for going out of our way for helping our readers. Thanks for the entry.

  8. Yes sir, that is EXACTLY what I’m saying.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

  9. Sean McDevitt says:

    Winner? Extending entries?

  10. Heath, Sean and Kent – hang in there. We were hoping for more entries but we are probably cutting it off here. I need to speak with my guy at Magnolia Pictures to find out for sure. We are also going to let him pick the winner. I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted. Thanks for the great entries!

  11. Thanks for this great contest and opportunity to own a copy of The Girlfriend Experience poster, signed by the lovely Ms. Grey.

My only encounters with escorts have been through movies–Holly Golightly, Belle Watling,Vivian Ward, Fantine, and Satine. All women looking for love. The Girlfriend Experience’s Chelsea is no different. She’s looking for real love and real intimacy. Who can’t relate to that?

I wasn’t sure what to expect from The Girlfriend Experience, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since viewing it. Her story stuck with me more so than the other hookers with their hearts of gold. So as cheesy as it sounds, I’d want the signed poster, because I loved the movie.

  12. Even the chance of winning is foreign to me. Awesome.

  13. Sorry for keeping you all in the dark. We are waiting on word from Magnolia Pictures. We are also (unsuccessfully so far) trying to get Sasha Grey herself to choose the winner.

And Heath, you have a 1 in 3 chance of winning. I’m sorry Emily but the contest ended Friday night. Your entry was good though. Not cheesy at all. I’m glad you enjoyed the film and I look forward to checking it out soon.

For anyone who doesn’t win, I will be starting a contest soon to win a signed mini-poster for ‘Good Dick’ along with a DVD of the film. Stay Tuned.

  14. Sean McDevitt says:

If you can’t get Sasha to pick the winner, can you at least get her to come over to my place…

  15. I am so sorry for the delay everyone but after over a week, I finally heard back and got our winner. I am happy to send big congratulations to Kent from Daftbot. You were chosen because your entry “fit the contest best and made us laugh.” Personally, my favorite was Sean’s but I’m thinking the length and the fact that it wasn’t really about an escort played a role in it not being chosen. It is still a great short story and very well written. I look forward to future entries from you in other contests. And lastly Heath, you had a good entry as well. I am sorry we cannot help you get laid this time. The good news is that Scott is working on an awesome film that from what I understand, is so amazing that everyone who watches it gets laid. So be on the lookout for when he screens it near you. Also, check back soon because I will post a contest for the film ‘Good Dick’ very soon and I will also be posting an epic indie film contest that we will run all summer long.

  16. Oh and I forgot to mention, Kent please email me with your personal details so I can send it over to Magnolia. When you get your prize, snap a picture for us and we can post it up here. Thanks!

  17. Next time!

    Congrats Kent.

I hope that Rick and Roddy mojo works!
