Oops! yeah, the idea was that Aquaman/Namor were both bad ideas (Namor being Marvel’s version, and one of their earliest characters) but I got my wires crossed when writing that. My apologies, problem solved.

I’m not sure if this is a joke or not, but Aquaman is not a Marvel character, he’s a DC character. Namor’s the Marvel character who’s been around forever.

I would have to agree with all of these answers. Unfortunately I thought for sure we would see a Deadpool spinoff..no such luck after seeing Wolverine.

As a comic book geek who loved Storm as a kid, it pains me to agree with you on the #1 choice. The only way it would work is if it got a total revamp. Let’s all agree to keep Halle Berry away from comic book flicks, shall we? RIP Catwoman.

I agree with almost all of your statement Dancing Monkey. I dont like the direction they have taken Deadpool in the Wolverine Origin movie. Aquaman made our list because he wouldnt be good by himself.

Hey if they fix whats wrong with Deadpool in the Wolverine movie and set the Deadpool movie after the Wolvie movie with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool with just his healing ability (no other superpowers), the famous mask, a good plot and a good bad guy and you could have a great superhero movie. And include Aquaman in a Justice League movie, he would work better in a team rather than on his own. And hey at least there is a fantastic four reboot coming that hopefully will be better than the other two

Okay, here is my list of not so superhero movies.
Black Lightning and RagMan.
(Two of the worst heroes to grace a Batman comic. I always hated the Afrowig that Black lightning wore and his corny slang. I was sure that the writers never hung in the hood. I thought Ragman was a cheap Moonknight rip off.)
CockRoach Hamilton.
(Okay he was a supervillian from Powerman, but what powers did he have except a 12 barrel shotgun.)
Bucky, robin, Kid Flash, toro, Aqualad, Speedy or any of the other sidekicks
(I hate all sidekicks, It was sickening to think of a young man alone in a secret lair with a degenerate old geezer}
Superdog, Superhorse, Supergirl, manbat, batgirl….etc
( during the sixties and early seventies DC writers got lazy and greedy and all kinds of trashy spin-offs made its way to comicbook stands. I know a lot of us older geeks are waiting patiently for the “Superman’s Friend Jimmy Olson” movie.)
And lastly, Any one of The Specials.
(how can you talk about “Mystery Men and not at least mention “the Specials”? we need more Heroes like The Weevil.)

Yeah, Aquaman/Namor (might as well lump ‘em together) would be a tough sell, even with Cameron directing Vinnie Chase.

Marvel Zombies is a total gimmick. The only use it will ever serve is to have the actual 616 pop in there every once in a while or the continued miniseries they keep putting out a couple times a year (might as well be an ongoing).

Deadpoolâ€¦ err, I saw the work print AND those revealing TV spots. Ugh.

I’m not going to come to the Fantastic Fours’ side and stick up for them (because they suck), but I wouldn’t say they ‘bombed’ – they weren’t good movies, but still made profit, but yeah, you can’t do a single member’s story without the rest of the Fantastic Family. Anyone reading the current Millar and Hitch run? Good stuff.

Watchmen is Watchmen. There will never be any side movie project thankfully and I guess that’s due to the fact the 3 hour long R-Rated movie didn’t make $500 mil domestically. Go figure. ; )

I don’t think anyone is going to mess with the Joker outside of the comics or animation for quite a while.
