Pierre Morel to Film Badass Chase Scenes in Tokyo

Pierre Morel and his kick-ass camera work are headed to Tokyo.   Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to the thriller tentatively titled ‘Tokyo Underworld’ that will be set in the Japanese city.   The studio is producing the film as a directing vehicle for Morel, whose ‘Taken’ has made $142 million domestic so far.

‘Tokyo Underworld,’ written by first-time screenwriter Frank Baldwin, is about a CIA agent who carries out his final mission in Tokyo.   Like all, good, final missions, the agent finds himself caught up in an international conspiracy.

‘Tokyo Underworld’ is tentatively scheduled for release some time in 2011.
