This movie was ok, but I much prefer X-Men First Class, the latest X-Men movie. It didn’t have Hugh Jackman in it which was too bad, but the action and story were much more refined. It’s as if the writers put more thought into it.

Anyone who said this movie sucked… right on. I wouldn’t say I’m a fanboy, but I’m an avid viewer of comic book movies and superhero lore. So with that said, I was thoroughly disappointed with this movie. It had the worst special effects I have ever seen in my life. The script wasn’t very well written, because the movie was filled with very corny “one-liners” that got redundant, and also there was too many action scenes in this movie. Not enough story. And the story, for that matter, was not developed enough at all. The only part of this movie that made sense was the end, when Professor Xavier was rescuing all the X-Men with the helicopter. They didn’t play enough into the whole X-Men thing. This goes on the bottom of my ranking of superhero movies, and I’m not happy with Marvel at all for letting this piece of crap hit screens.

Someone showed me the leaked version. It sucked. I hope they totally change it before it comes out. What the guy said about the bullet, deadpool, etc are all true on the workprint. They totally screwed up the deadpool character who I was hoping would spin off into his own movie. Wolverine is immortal from birth, deadpool (the merc with a mouth) doesn’t have a mouth, and deadpool has admantium swords that come out of his arms. Marvel should be ashamed.

I saw the Wolverine movie and it is kick ass. Yes Deadpool does become a mutant freak at the end, weapon XI. Gambit has three scenes in the movie, we see a young Emma Frost and cyclops as well. The origin in the movie is SO different fro mthe comic book that true fanboys may not like this movie. OH yes Gambit does fly Wolverine to Stryker’s Island and Charles Xavier does make an appearance, and stay around for the little scenes after the credits. I’ve been a wolverine fan since day one. It’s the comic that got me into comics and I was so pumped for this flick…… and it was the worst thing i’ve ever seen. It was horrible. If you’re a real fan you’re gonna be very disappointed. The story was butchered from beginning to end. Even if your just a fan of the X-Men movies and not a hardcore Wolvie fan, it makes a weak addition to the other 3 movies. Don’t bother downloading it on the net and don’t even think of spending your money on it in the theater or DVD. Take your 10 bucks and go read Origin and Weapon X.

terrible movie.. I was really dissapointed. The only good part for me was when Stryker says to wolvie “Your country needs you” and Wolvie says “I’m Canadian”.

And they fucked up bad at one point: Wolvie knocks out Gambit just before he fights Sabertooth, they fight for a minute, then just when wolvie is about to finish him off, Gambit comes running in from a mile away on a roof-top to get into the fight. How did he go from knocked out, on the ground, 3 feet away, to Running on a roof top a mile away in a matter of 30 seconds? And the little helicopter-spin he does to get to the ground is just gay.

I saw this movie just recently, review is dead on. It was a god damn atrocity, Deadpool was a character with a huge fanbase and a great story. The popularity of such a character could have turned his own Origins story into something spectacular and could have essentially raked in TONS of money but they trashed it. They promised months ago that if the Wolverine Origins made bank then they would make a Deadpool Origins, well fuck you and fuck that. At this point if they made a Deadpool Origins it wouldn’t be anything like any Deadpool fan wants it to be, it would center around Deadpool as Wade, which is cool because Ryan Reynolds was a PERFECT pic for him, but it’ll never happen now because they fucked it all up. God damn you X Men, god damn you and never delivering anything even remotely worthwile.

If you get a chance check out my long winded review of it over on rotten tomatoes, and it’s actually a review, not just me explaining the plot.

just watched this last night…

i hate ryan reynolds. he plays every character/role the exact same way, and he ruins the mood of the scenes in this movie. its really too bad that they made him the bad guy in the end because he isn’t even that intimidating. as for the pacing, i thought that the first half was just god-awful. it barely explained anything and yet took forever for the juicy bits of story to appear. if you ask me, this movie sucked compared to most other comic book movies released in the past decade. lets hope the magneto movie turns out a lot better.
