Spike Lee on the Red Carpet… not a cool dude!

Our buddies over at Gordon and the Whale interviewed Spike Lee on the red carpet during SXSW and let me say that WOW, he is not a friendly dude..at all. Check it out below:

Wow! Spike was SO uncool that the video had to be pulled, huh? Now I REALLY want to see the interview!
I don’t think he’s the type of guy in real life you expect to be really cool as is, and here he just seemed to be tired and wanting to get the day over with as opposed to uncool.
Honestly, He just seemed tired. He wasn’t really rude, just not very inspired in his answers. On a plus note he did give answers to the questions.
chuck
give him a break..
While I am not an advocate on anything Spike Lee, I don’t really think the guy was being a jerk. He just seemed annoyed to be there. Not sure, then, why he decided to check out ‘The Hurt Locker’ before his screening. At least he gave answers to the questions.
I don’t see the big deal. He got asked a bunch of questions he probably has been asked before and answered them. He also looked pretty haggard. Seems like a pretty nice guy to me, actually.
That wasn’t bad. I was expecting to see all fire and brimstone. At least he didn’t get into a shouting match with the interviewer like he did with people in the audience when I saw him speak once. That was bad.
Pretty decent answers to questions riddled with “Um, um”.
No fan of Spike Lee, here. But the guy hung in there through several stammered, poorly-phrased questions and actually gave (somewhat) considered responses. Judging from the description of the video, I kept expecting him to really go off on the interviewer or walk away in a huff or something. Instead, he just seemed kind of bored. And who can blame him?
@Thomas & JYayl: Yeah, well we interviewed Spike Lee and you didn’t!
Why didn’t I feel about blogging about this topic? Excellent job mate.
