I agree Gavin. Not many slow parts and definitely funniest film of the year so far. I think this film may even get better upon another viewing, or at least more quotable. As for not writing pirouettes, the bs reason is product placements. The real reason is that I forgot what they were called. I corrected it, lol. Thanks!

And Nickolas, I completely agree. David Wain, along with Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter, don’t get enough credit. They are all hysterical, especially when they work together.

David Wain doesn’t get enough credit for his work if you ask me. Wain and the entire “State” crew have been involved in almost all of the comedic masterpieces in the last 10 years. Starting with thier own show (which is the greatest sketch comedy show EVER) and Reno,”Stella” (genius!!), “Wet Hot..”, “The Ten”, and all thier scene stealing moments in almost every major comedy, make them THE most influential comedy force in the modern era.

I saw an advanced screening 3 weeks ago and another one Thursday night and I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to how it held up to multiple screenings. I think this will be in contention for comedy of the year in my book; I think it all just meshed really well together and had you leaving the theater without thinking of any slow points in the film or overt gross out humor (other than the projectile vomit scene). I would rate it a solid 5 out of 5, but can understand a 4.

I know. I need to watch Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared. I remember I liked Undeclared, I just don’t remember anything about the show at all. I’ll have to move them up on my Netflix queue.
