Daft Punk, Meet ‘Tron 2′… ‘Tron 2′, Meet Daft Punk… You Two Are Gonna Get Along Just Fine!

Upcoming Film Scores is announcing that none other than Daft Punk is pulling score duties on ‘Tron 2′ for Disney.   Disney has confirmed the news to the site.

In 2007, the duo released the film ‘Electroma’, a dialogue-free film about two robots who are attempting to grow more human.   The soundtrack for that film was made up entirely of music from Daft Punk, but the music was previously recorded.   ‘Tron 2′ will be the first full score they the French techno duo has written specifically for a film.

This is pretty sweet news.   Daft Punk is an amazing group that puts together some pretty awesome techno music.   Also, if you haven’t seen ‘Electroma’, you should check it out.   It is definitely a visually compelling piece of work.
