  1. You should choose me because afterwards I will rip on these movies so hard MILK will shoot out your nose. Even if you’re not drinking any!

Naw, but really. I haven’t seen any of these yet, and just once I’d like to be able to say I saw ALL the Best Picture nominees and didn’t like any of them.

  2. I would love to enter, but i am in the wrong Country.
Unless your paying for my flight to America..

  3. Win a Date with Scott Hutcheson is on!!!

  4. Few states away but wouldn’t mind catching those films again!

  5. I am a movie geek through and through. I have just recently discovered this site and would love to hang out and see what you guys are all about. I would love to see these movies before the big show. My family takes bets every year on who can predict the most winners so I would love to get an extra jump on them.

  6. I am running the same contest over at Truth On Cinema for any of you that live in the DFW area of Texas. Scott, if I lived around you, I’d definitely try and win…but if you are ever in the TX area, hit me up, we’ll go see a movie together.

    Popcorn’s on me.

  7. You should pick me because I love movies and I love you!

  8. Tom Stockman says:

Don’t pick me. I’m busy on the 21st.

  9. I’m a poor college kid who can’t afford to see these great movies any other way

  10. You should pick me because I would rather be sitting in the movie theater all day than be sitting in my mom’s basement all day

  11. Golden Griffin says:

I own over 500 movies. I collect action figures and posters from my favorite movies. I spend more time on this site in my cubicle than I do actual work. I am a movie geek.

  12. I haven’t seen The Reader yet… maybe I will come out…

  13. I have to work that day alas and cannot win.

Personally I’d love to see Milk again or Slumdog. Milk had me crying during most of the movie which was full of political rallies and good stuff and Slumdog was just so great.

I saw the Reader last of the group of 5 and it was good. Though I don’t really see Kate Winslet winning for best actress academy award, it really seemed like a best supporting role. It was hard to watch at times.

Button was pretty good, I would’ve prefered it without the heavy-handed clock/war analogy that sort of takes you away from the main story.

Frost/Nixon was great (everything I’ve learned of politics it seems I learn in movies), saw that at the Moolah. I really nave nothing bad to say about it, Milk or Slumdog. Loved ‘em!

  14. Pick me!

I still need to see Frost/Nixon and could see most of them again.

Benjamin Button is the only one I don’t want to repeat but I could always take a nap then (god knows its long enough!) or get some real food.

I am a huge fan of your site!

  15. Nancy A. Carr says:

I would love to win because I love movies and I have never won anything like this before. I suppose that is not a very compelling reason to pick me but it’s the only one that I could think of. Also, I think it would be a lot of fun to hang out with the “Geeks”.

  16. The reasons to pick me, first, I haven’t seen any of these movies yet. Second, I would like to see everyone of these movies. Third, I absolutely love going to the movies!!!! (A Bonus Point), I am fun and crazy and would make the day very entertaining!

  17. I might come. I’ll just bring my breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

  18. Here’s why you should pick me to watch the Best Movie Showcase:

    * That’s my “home” movie theater
    * I love movies and discussing them at length
    * I can sit passively and stare at a screen for untold hours at a
    time, especially on Sundays
    * I can eat frightening amounts of popcorn, at least, FREE popcorn

  19. That couldn’t be the Black Dynamite crew edited out of that picture!

  20. haha, yes it is dude!
