‘Transformers’ Exhibit Exclusive Recap

What better way to cap off a weekend roadtrip to Chi-town to see ‘The Dark Knight’ at the Navy Pier IMAX than to also hit the Chicago Auto Show.  At this year’s Auto Show, General Motors used the stage to show off five Chevrolet cars that are playing important roles in the upcoming ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’.

Let’s get to the pictures:

First up was the Chevy Volt, which will be playing the part of Jolt in the film.  Chevy offered a view of the car as is:

Also on hand were subcompacts Chevy Beat and Chevy Trax, which will be playing Skids…

The Chevy Camaro, which serves as Bumblebee in car form, was also on hand.

Bumblebee in robot form, all 17 feet of him, was also on hand to work security for the night.

I’m really not that big.  Bumlebee is just about 12 miles back.  It’s called “perspective”, folks!

The creme de la creme, however, was the Corvette Stingray Concept.  This sweetness of a car will be playing Sideswipe in the film.

Yeah, I know there are a lot of pictures of the Stingray, but it’s hard to stop shooting something so pretty and shiny.  GM says the Stingray Concept is simply a design exercise and isn’t indicative of a future model.  That sucks.  Middle-aged men all over the world would give up golfing for a chance to own one of these babies.

GM has also launched a site where you can sign up to get updates about Chevy vehicles and ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’.

The film comes out on June 24th.
