Orlando Bloom to Star in ‘The Cross’
Orlando Bloom has signed on to star in ‘The Cross’, a sci-fi thriller to be directed by Andrew Niccol (‘Lord of War’ and ‘Gattaca’). Â Vincent Cassel and Olga Kurylenko have also signed on.
Set in a border town in the near future, Bloom plays a man seeking to cross a mysterious border, something no one else has achieved; Cassel is the guard who will go to any lengths to foil him.
The film is scheduled to begin production in July in Australia.

It sounds promising. I think people underestimate Bloom, as he has plenty of range. Elizabethtown showcased his layers despite the lack of success the movie had. I can’t wait to see him in a film of this genre.
