Green and Cusack realize ‘Mars Needs Moms’

Walt Disney Pictures and Robert Zemeckis are producing a feature film adaptation of Berkeley Breathed children’s novel. The movie will be directed by Simon Wells (Balto).

The story is about Milo, a boy who becomes a stowaway on a spaceship in an effort to rescue his mother, who was abducted by martians. The movie will be developed as a “performance-capture” movie.

Seth Green will play Milo, Joan Cucask will play Milo’s mother, Dan Fogler will play Milo’s friend Gribble and Mindy Sterling will play the Martian leader.
