Comic Con NY 2009: ‘Dead Like Me’

After a few failed attempts, I finally got the video of my interview with the cast of ‘Dead Like Me’ online. And it’s up just in time, because today is the DVD release date of ‘Dead Like Me: Life After Death’. Whether you are a fan of the show or the film just interests you, I suggest you go and check it out. I have not yet seen it myself but I did have a great time talking with the cast. I spoke to them a little after 5 pm and they were doing interviews, panels and signings from 10 am on, so they were a little tired. It was a fairly laid back interview and we had a lot of laughs. I’m looking forward to checking out the film and I’ll try to write a review for it soon. If it’s anything like the show, I’m sure it will be a great movie. I only saw a few episodes but I really loved the ones I saw and when I get a chance to Netflix all the DVD’s, I will try to watch the series straight through.
If you have no idea what ‘Dead Like Me’ is, this video probably won’t help, but watch it anyway. You may want to check out the trailer for the film first right here. Enjoy!
So, what do you guys think? Did you watch the show? Will this movie be good? What’s so funny about saying We Are Movie Geeks?
I also got the cast to sign a few posters for you all that I will be putting up in a contest soon, so keep checking back. The next comic con video is my interview with Judah Friedlander, which should be up by tomorrow night.

I’ve been looking forward to this one for awhile now. It’s on my Netflix queue, but it’s very likely I’ll just end up running by Best Buy and buying it instead. I was a huge fan of the series and found myself sorely let down when it ended after only two seasons.
i like that none of them can say our site name without laughing..is that a good thing?
One of the best shows….looking forward to the movie
I’m looking forward to seeing the movie too. It will be interesting to see if we have different takes on it since you both watched the show and I didn’t. I hope you enjoy it. I’ve heard mixed reviews from fans of the show.
And Scott, I found it really funny that they couldn’t get through the site name. It probably had something to do with my first failed attempt at having them say the site name all together which came out really bad. Also, as Callum said during the interview, they had a really long day. I was one of their last interviews. Before we started I talked with Callum for a little and after I told him the site name he said he was a movie geek too. I really love our site name but I have noticed most of the people I interview either laugh or screw up and just call us moviegeeks.com.
i know man! it sucks, especially since they want 25 grand for moviegeeks.com BASTARDS.
I don’t know, I personally love wearemoviegeeks.com. It’s one of the things that first attracted me to the site. I loved the name. I guess if we were moviegeeks.com we could still say “we are moviegeeks.com” but that would just be confusing. I think that’s actually what most people think we do now, which is why so many people just call us moviegeeks.com. Maybe every time someone makes the mistake we should force them to donate a dollar so we can purchase the site just to make them happy.
great blog!
