Casting Calls for ‘Elm Street’ Remake
Casting has begun for Platinum Dunes and New Line’s remake of ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’. Bloody Disgusting got their paws on the casting call. Here’s what to expect from the characters and who the producers are looking for:

“Think Johnny Depp…?” Glad to see they’re thinking outside the box on this one.
The remake is set to be directed by Samuel Bayer from a screenplay by Wesley Strick. Shooting officially begins April 27th in Chicago, IL.

Really? REALLY!?
Before I say anything: This is just my opinion and not those of WEAREMOVIEGEEKS.COM.
When did casting calls become news? Oh, that is right, they did once B-D.com started posting them. Sometimes it is cool to get an insight on the direction that they are going with the remake. However, does this give us any insight? The only thing I get from this casting call is that Platinum Dunes is trying to cater a character, Quentin, to web bloggers and horror podcasters. I mean, I guess I’m grateful that they at least recognize us. However, that is not going to make me like the character automatically – Even if they are trying to compare us to Johnny Depp. Even then, guess who is the only person other than Freddy who doesn’t have the word “attractive” in their description? Yep, cool, nerdy, Quentin.
I mean…

I noticed this same post on B-D.com However, there is no information as to where to send head shots or resumes. Disappointing…Maybe they’ll realize this after they haven’t received any submissions :(
Am I missing something? Ive gone over this article many times and still haven’t seen that information.
