‘Wolverine’ may have more Deadpool than expected?
A reader over at IESB.net has apparently given them a juicy little bit of rumor news to chew on and it’s juicy enough for me to pass on. We’ve already mentioned the re-shoots in progress for ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ but now it seems a potentially positive bonus MAY come of it in the form of added scenes with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
We are told Ryan Reynolds was busy a guy in Vancouver during the extra time the production spent there shooting some added footage for his Deadpool character! Apparently most of the footage shot included Reynolds and Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman. — IESB.net
I have been waiting to see this movie for a while, despite the unfavorable rumors I’ve heard. For one, and this may likely be old news to some, but one rumor I’ve heard is that Reynolds will NOT be dawning the Deadpool costume. This bugs me as, while I feel Reynolds is perfectly cast as Deadpool, he needs the costume. Without it, it’s just going to be sarcastic Ryan Reynolds with guns and knives.
I’ve heard rumors that Taylor Kitsch not only won’t have a strong Cajun accent (as he should, playing Gambit) but won’t have any accent at all. Whoa! Back it up there Gavin. I have a special soft spot for Gambit, having grown up deeply immersed in the X-Men universe, and Gambit MUST have a Cajun accent… period! Otherwise, he’s just a mutant with long hair that throws exploding cards.

Shanangins to the highest form of the law shall be called if Gambit doesn’t have his ragin’ cajun accent! Deadpool without a costume sucks, but is something I can live with; but Remy LeBeau without that sultry southern cajun smooth-jive talkin’ tongue is just not acceptable, mon ami!
Can you tell me WHO is your source exactly? because it’s been 100% confirmed that Kitsch had a VOCAL COACH.

Dee, “dumb” or not, a rumor is a rumor… that’s all. Hence, my attention to calling it a “rumor” and not in any way, shape or form presenting it as fact. I personally want this particular rumor to be false as much as anyone, but it doesn’t mean we can’t discuss it if we choose. And… no, I can’t give you any particular source because I haven’t paid that close attention to “where” these rumors came from, seeing as they’re just simply rumors.
After seeing the film…Gambit did not have the accent…that was the MOST disappointing thing about the movie…Gambit is not Gambit without it! So the RUMOR was FACT…bummer
