I think this is one of those movies where you have to be a Brett Easton Ellis fan to enjoy, the book was entirely a collection of short stories barely linked with the only common factors brand names, attitudes, and restaurants.

The movie is not supposed to follow a linked plot, but rather a collection of snapshots into the materialistic, Nihlism of the early 80s, where image was everything, money and glam ruled the day, and drugs sex and rock n roll were all over the place.

Take the movie for what it is and dont hopr for it to be something it is not, and i'm sure you'd have a different view.

[...] it would be. After that was had to hustle to get down to the Yarrow for an 11:15 screen of ‘The Informers‘, which was quite terrible. Amber Heard is naked, which is a movie geek dream come true but [...]
