New Stills from ‘Friday the 13th’

Here you go kiddies… three new stills here from the “new” remake/reboot of ‘Friday the 13th’.

This movie is exactly why people who don’t understand horror movies shouldn’t try to make them, even worse “reinvent” them. Nobody cares how Jason lives, what he eats, how he keeps his machete sharp… Jason kills people. End of story. I have a feeling this could be even worse than Zombie’s disgrace of “Halloween”.
Honestly, I think it will be better for the ‘Friday the 13th’ franchise than ‘Halloween’ was for that franchise. I haven’t heard anything or seen anything from the trailers that leads me to believe it tells us why Jason kills. I’ve gathered it’s just Jason going around hacking people up. Could be wrong. If I am, and it does give a long, drawn-out backstory, than you’re absolutely right.
I read an article a couple weeks ago, with either the producer or director (I couldn’t find the link.) describing this Jason as a “caged animal, attacking only when he feels his territory is being threatened…” And the article went on to talk about how he is a survialist, a mountain man, and how he has learned to live off the land. And as far as the machete sharpening, I saw that in the trailer. The only time Jason sharpens his machete, is when it glances off the skulls of camp counselors. I do truly hope it turns out to be good, but I have serious doubts.
