‘Mystery Team’ still hasnt found a buyer!

‘Mystery Team’ was one of the best movies at Sundance and it still has not gotten purchased which in my eyes is a travesty. Everyone that I talked to about this movie absolutely loved it at Sundance, and I really cannot believe no one has stepped up to the plate yet.
Even with people being scared of the movie not making a splash at the box office, this movie will be HUGE on dvd, cult classic status. Not to mention the fact that Derrick Comedy has a very large Internet following and if this movie is marketed properly, it could definitely reach ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ big very easily.

All of those guys matter, and all of those guys loved the movie. Think about all of the combined page views and visits they all/we all get and then figure that if we are pounding down our readers throats to go see the movie it will probably happen. Whoever gets this movie will wind up with a cash cow, lets just hope they cash in properly.

I am saddened to hear that Mystery team has not been picked up! This was one of my favorite films up at Sundance. I wonder why studios are afraid to take on this film. Is it too different, too bold, or too funny? Derrick Comedy did not half ass it in this film, they brought it all, and they brought it hard. It was the most marketable film that was shown, someone has to buy this movie! What the hell is the hold up!?
agreed. Its really bullshit that no one has stepped up to the plate to snag this movie yet, but its only a matter of time until someone does because the movie will rock everyone.
i wonder if the publicity still featured in this post is what is keeping it from getting sold. why? Well, i haven’t seen the movie yet, but based on the still alone, I would jump to the conclusion that the guy on the right is a napoleon knock-off. that could be the furthest thing from the truth, but let’s face it: sadly, many buyers gain their initial interest on reading articles and crap. i wonder if they see the image and say, “wow. cheap napoleon knock-off. i wanna find something completely fresh.”
Now I am sure i am totally wrong about this… and i am sure i’ll love this movie. but based on photos and casual glances by lazy people, it looks like scooby doo starring napoleon dynamite.
the movie is probably awesome and completely fresh. but perception kills.
The movie is brilliant! The Derrick Comedy group scored big with this one and I have no doubt it will sell.
