Mickey Rourke takes on ‘Broken Horses’

Indian writer/director Vidhu Vinod Chopra will make his Hollywood feature-film debut with a gangster film called ‘Broken Horses’. The picture will be shot in New Mexico and New York, written by Abhijat Joshi and produced by Mark Johnson (Chronicles of Narnia). Mickey Rourke is set to star in this film, which is just one of many projects and offers that have come Rourke’s way since his incredible come-back performance in ‘The Wrestler’.

“I was bowled over by his performance,” Chopra said. “Both of us had an instant connect when we met in Los Angeles. He was my first choice and was finalized even before he won the Golden Globe; it’s great to have him on board for one of the key roles in the film. Mickey deserves all the acclaim he is getting and I hope he wins the Oscar as well.”

  1. Wow!, this was a real quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I keep putting it off and never seem to get something done
