Forest Whitaker in Negotations to Join ‘The Expendables’

Forest Whitaker is in negotiations to join the Sylvester Stallone starring/written/directed by action flick ‘The Expendables’. Whitaker is in talks to play the CIA agent who acts as the liaison for a group of mercenaries who are sent to South America to overthrow a dictator.

Already on board as the team are Sly Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Randy Couture. Rumors last week of Stallone trying to woo his ‘Demolition Man’ co-star Sandra Bullock proved to be just that. Shooting is scheduled to begin in February.

‘Expendables’ is the first project in Stallone’s two-picture deal with Nu Image/Millennium. ‘Rambo’, Stallone’s last writing/directing effort pulled in $155 million worldwide.
