The verdict is in… the return of ‘Judge Dredd’?

This may just be a big nasty rumor, but the folks over at 2000 AD have apparently gotten some confirming words from those in charge. The production of a “new” Judge Dredd will be led by Rebellion in cooperation with DNA Films, whose work includes the great recent sci-fi film ‘Sunshine’ and the moderately successful horror sequel ‘28 Weeks Later’. Production is said to hopefully start in 2009.

Jason Kingsley, CEO and Creative Director said, ‘We can’t give away too many details at this point, but we’re looking forward to working with DNA Films to bring Judge Dredd back to the big screen.’
