New International ‘Dragonball: Evolution’ Trailer
For all of you Dragonball fans out there, a new international trailer hits the streets and it features a lot of action. However, here’s my take… I found the trailer laughably comical, and I don’t think it was meant to be. It looks as though director James Wong is going for a stylistic cross between Zack Snyder (‘300′, ‘Watchmen’) and the Wachowski Brothers (‘The Matrix’, ‘Speed Racer’). Oh, and a little Michael Bay ‘Transformers’ in there too… did you see it? Chow Yun-Fat is sure to be fun, but Justin Chatwin looks ridiculous. The film has apparently been renamed ‘Dragonball: Evolution’ and is set to hit theatres on April 9, 2009. What do you think… will ‘Dragonball: Evolution’ end up being a Hit, or just Sh**?

Dude, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… this film is going to be a train wreck. FOX obviously added the ‘evolution’ into the title because they’re probably reading fan responses to the leaked teasers and pics. They’re trying to make it seem like this is a “re-boot” or a different take on the series, when really it’s just a shitty interpretation on the popular magna/anime. Such a wasted opportunity if you ask me. If you guys really want to see some awesome DBZ fan films go to youtube and check ‘em out, they’re 100X better than this piece of garbage Fox is trying to put out.
This movie is going to be hilariously bad.
I’m going to see it anyway.
