Why havent we gotten a 2-Disc ‘Full Metal Jacket’?

Submitted by Scott on Monday, 24 November 2008No Comment

When they were releasing 2 disc special editions of Stanley Kubrick movies they for some reason skipped over ‘Full Metal Jacket’ and we are either stuck with the paper case, or the “Stanley Kubrick Collection” single disk hard case. However they released ‘Eyes Wide Shut’, ‘A Clockwork Orange’, ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, and ‘The Shinning’ all as 2 disc special editions, but for some reason decided to not release ‘Full Metal Jacket’?

I am having a hard time figuring out why they would just skip over this movie for a double disc release when they are so many extras for the movie, maybe even more than the 3 previously released DVDs. Well it turns out that they only included the 2 disc in the Kubrick box set, which in my opinion is ridiculous! This is a movie that needs a standalone release that has some of the bonus features on the 2nd disc. So WB please, please release this damn DVD by itself!
