One month ago, I posted my first movie review for this website. It was for the film Good Dick, which is an extraordinary independent film that I highly recommend. I truly loved it and cannot wait to see it again. It is extremely well written, beautifully directed and the acting is top notch. Jason Ritter delivers his best performance and it put him towards the top of the list of actors I’d love to work with. I was lucky enough to attend a showing that Marianna Palka (writer, director, producer and lead actress) and Jason Ritter (lead actor and producer) were in attendance for a Q & A following the film. I was able to meet them and they happened to be two of the nicest people I have ever met working in the film industry. They agreed to an interview on the spot and we tried to set something up. After several failed attempts, I finally spoke to them last week. Our 15-minute interview turned into almost an hour long conversation about Good Dick and independent films in general. The following is the audio from the interview, almost in it’s entirety. The only stuff I removed were some technical errors and the part where we discussed a special contest.
