Super Badass Geek Stuff: Netflix makes watching movies even easier!

It’s no secret that I’m a shameless fanboy of Netflix. They’re the best thing to happen to home “video” entertainment since DVD. Having been the original and most successful company to offer DVD rental service through the mail, Netflix quickly moved into the streaming market. The best part of that is it’s included in the monthly fee you already pay, and the streaming is unlimited with most packages.

I am happy to announce that Netflix has once again made something great even greater. Not too long ago, Netflix announced a new partnership with Roku, a company that makes small black boxes that allow home viewers to select an online title from Netflix and then stream it wirelessly to their TV through Roku’s device. Cool enough, right? Well, now Netflix has announced a wider ability for customers through multiple devices.

Instead of being limited to purchasing the Roku box, which actually is reasonably priced at only $99, customers with the following home entertainment devices are now able to join in on the fun at no additional Netflix fee: Xbox 360, LG BD 300 Network Blu-Ray Player, Samsung BD-P2500, Samsung BD-P2550, and TiVo HD & TiVo HD XL & TiVo series 3 (coming soon). So, keep this in mind while you’re out on this BIG shopping weekend when looking into gift ideas for your beloved movie geeks.
