Remembering ‘Mr. Smith’… An Icon of Hope

On the morning after the election of our President of this great nation, with all the politics of the past months aside and the opportunity of a new new era just over the horizon, I want to simply say that I look eagerly towards the future. Despite our opinions of “what may happen” or “how things may turn out,” we should keep in mind that the future lay before us with the abundance of infinite possibilities and the security of knowing we have the power as a people to create our country’s future. We only need keep one thing in sight, that being the willingness to work together as a nation and seek only what is best four our country and its people. As an ode to the ideals of doing what’s “right” and not falling victim to the political machine, I call upon Mr. Smith as an example and a reminder of these principles…
