Box Office Results Nov. 7-9: It Is A Jungle Out There!
The kids rule at the 9 box office once again by making the animated animals from ‘Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa’ the landslide winner at the box office this weekend. Madagascar brought in a whopping $63.5 million with Role Models opening at #2 with a meager $19 million. ‘Soul Men’ Bernie Mac’s farewell performance couldn’t carry a tune, opening a disappointing 6Th this weekend. Zack & Miri were able to “keep it up” and stay in the top 5 after 2 weeks. Here is how the rest of the top ten stacked up:

- The Secret Life of Bees $ 3,125,000
- Eagle Eye $ 2,594,000
The penguins will have to watch their backs this weekend. A real threat to the number one spot opens and he goes by “Bond… James Bond”. Quantum of Solace opens and will have to be a dead shot to knock Madagascar out of the top spot at the box office next week.
Role Models with a “meager” $19 million? Predictions were for it to open at around $10-12 million. It opened stronger than Zack and Miri’s $10.2 million first weekend. So meager is a poor choice of words. Just sayin.
