WAMG visits Archon St. Louis 2008

Scott and I made an appearance at Archon St. Louis 2008 on Saturday, October 4 to interview Mystery Science Theater and Cinematic Titanic creator Joel Hodgson (which we’ll have up on the site soon). Afterwards, we hung around and put in some time scoping out this massive annual Sci-Fi & Fantasy Convention. Held at the Gateway Center in Collinsville, Illinois (just across the Ole Miss), this convention was really cool, but not targeted at the casual sci-fi/fantasy fan. Granted, all are welcome to attend, but this is where the true fans come out to play. Being the glorious month of Halloween, we decided to check out some of the fans who attended in costume. Everyone was in attendance, from Star Wars characters to Heath Ledger as the Joker, endless anime characters of which I only recognized a few and cosplay girls to boot! Scott and I made our rounds meeting people and promoting WeAreMovieGeeks.com and taking pictures of some of the cooler costumes. See the pictures below, maybe it’ll give you some ideas for Halloween…
