Ron Perlman carrying on ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’

Submitted by Scott on Thursday, 30 October 20082 Comments

It looks like there is some news on the ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’ front. You know the movie, the one where Bruce Campbell played Elvis Presley, who when he got tired and wanted to retire switched places with an Elvis impersonator. Elvis and good friend Jack take on a mummy in the movie.

Well it looks like Ron Perlman is now going to take over where Bruce Campbell left off/refused to come back to the role. This time the movie will be called ‘Bubba Nosferatu’ and they will be taking on the evil vampire ‘Nosferatu’.

Although I love Bruce Campbell, it excites the hell out of me that Ron Perlman is in works to take this role over. Thanks to AICN for the heads up..

I’ve heard that it’s going to be a prequel, and that Elvis’ relationship with Tom Parker will figure into events.

I could see Campbell as Elvis, but Ron Pearlman? I really like his stuff, and I’m willing to give this a chance, but I’m having trouble picturing it.
