New ‘Punisher: Warzone’ trailer..

This is the second of the ‘Punisher Warzone’ trailers, and let me tell you that this is going to be one brutal, badass movie.
From watching the trailer you know why this movie got an ‘R’ rating, and why Lexi Alexander fought so hard to keep it from being edited down to ‘PG-13′. I didnt have much hope for this one after the last ‘Punisher’ movie starring Thomas Jane, but after seeing the trailers and the posters I couldnt be more excited for it.

I couldn’t be on the opposite side of the fence more. I think this is going to try to be all style and no substance, and even the style is going to fall through. Thomas Jane’s turn was well crafted and everything fit the comic book well (other than Travolta’s sub-par performance). There’s no reason Jane would turn down the movie, so you know he had to turn it down for some legitimate reason.
I agree with Gavin. Is this another redo like “The Incredible Hulk” because they feel they screwed the first one up. The first one was perfectly fine. Studios are running out of ideas so they’re remaking movies that came out not that long ago. Its stupid.
I dont think Thomas Jane was even offered this role. I dont feel like he fit in the first(Actually second) one at all.
But just watching this trailer makes me feel like there is going to be nothing to this movie other than stylized death and no story substance. And Stevenson doesn’t even look he bulked up at all for this role unlike how Jane did. The only thing that I think is good about this movie is that they went with some semi-unknowns for the main roles.
And alldawayjay, invoking the catastrphe that was “The Hulk” in helping to prove my/our point doesn’t help the situation since the first Hulk was TERRIBLE!
I will say Stevenson looks like a physically closer adaption to the more recent comic book Castle (minus some muscle). And I really wish, if they were going to reboot the franchise, that they would go with either Bullseye as the villain or oganized crime as a whole. I feel that Jigsaw is too weak (storyline wise) for a movie and the other two would serve better, especially for anything down the road.
Overall, I am really not looking forward to this movie, but I will go see it and desperately hope that I am proven wrong.
