Columbia hopes for a return of ‘Ghostbusters’

Submitted by Travis on Friday, 5 September 2008One Comment

Columbia Pictures is apparently interested in reviving the ‘Ghostbusters’ franchise after all. Rumors regarding this had been up and down and all over the place for a while, but it appears as though they’re seriously pushing for this to happen.

According to Variety.com, Columbia has enlisted Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, the co-executive producers of the popular TV show ‘The Office’, to pen the script for the third installment of Columbia’s third highest grossing franchise. Columbia’s attention is to lure back the original cast of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.
