Here in St Louis we have been patiently waiting to see ‘Repo! The Genetic Opera’ and so far we are still very (im)patiently waiting to see it! I think there was some error in scheduling …

Nolan prefers Cher for Catwoman?

Submitted by Travis on Monday, 25 August 20087 Comments

Oh boy, here we go. I really can’t say that I believe this, but it is coming from a somewhat reputable choice. According to British news source telegraph.co.uk, Christopher Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman in the next Batman film is the 62-year-old pop singer Cher. Whoa! Seriously? I mean, we all were surprised when we heard Ledger was cast as The Joker and then ate our words, but Cher? Is this going too far?

[The Oscar-winner will join a cast that includes Johnny Depp as The Riddler as she plays the whip-carrying burglar. The character has also been played by Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry.] — Telegraph

I defiantly prefer the Angelina Jolie rumors.

There is not enough make-up in Hollywood to cover the wrinkle on Cher. This is a huge mistake. If the budget is too big with Depp as the Riddler, cast a newcomer as Catwoman..someone closer to Bale’s age and not Caine’s

this is just embarrassing. why is the geek collective of the internet so obsessed with Batman 3? didn’t we JUST see Dark Knight? can’t we just roll with the satisfaction of that for awhile and pay it some proper respect by acknowledging that there’s 0% chance that anything being said about a still theoretical Nolan-helmed sequel is true? Cher? from a reputable source? please, show some restraint.

Gee, I’m sorry. What is it about the Telegraph, a major London newspaper, that is less reputable than any other newspaper? Besides, we’re just talking here, that’s all. Sounds to me like you’re the one that’s obsessed with “not” talking about the topic. Did you even visit the news site linked to this post?

It’s the number one movie of the year…not just us but the entire world is already dicussing the sequel. Penny wait until closer to Christmas when you wont be able to escape the buzz of the Watchmen! Hey Travis maybe just get your news from TMZ and Ok magazine! (hahahahahaha)

This might be too vulgar, but we could always skin Cher and make the new Catwoman outfit out of her. She’s pretty much leather by now anyway, right? I think that’s what Nolan was going for.

The Geek Collective talk about things related to movies, it just so happens that things are still coming out about Batman, so we are doing a service to our readers to keep them informed on developments/rumors and things of that sort. We have posted many other things in the last few days that have nothing to do with Batman 3
