I think this part was overlooked in my previous ‘Casino Royale’ vs. ‘Quantum of Solace’ post so, why the Hell not make it its own discussion question. This is actually a 2 part question:
A) Who …

Hey Stan Lee: Vin Diesel Wants His Turn at Being The Bad Guy!

Submitted by Ram Man on Thursday, 28 August 20084 Comments

Vin Diesel is asking to be the next Marvel Bad-Ass villain. It is strange that the action-movie superstar hasn’t shown up in one of these yet…hell they used Dolph (for you Scott). He is focused on the villain and wants the movie to be about him, like the upcoming Magneto film. I think Diesel would be great wielding Thor’s hammer, but he is follicularly challenged (he will need a wig). OK, you guys arew the casting department…which super-baddie should Riddick play? He has to be in the Marvel Universe and be well known and interesting enough to  carry his own film. Who is Vin going to be????

I think Apocalypse could be a good fit. Or maybe Sabretooth.

No, Sabretooth would be a bad choice (and its already been done). Apocalypse I like, maybe… but, he’s never going to see the light of the projector. That whole storyline, as much as I love it, is far too involved and complex for any studio to grapple. And, even if they ever did I am sure they would butcher it, so… I vote for this one to remain on the page and off the screen. He’d be a cool Night Thrasher, but he’s a good guy. Maybe he can play Rhino in a future Spidey flick?

It’s too bad it has to be a Marvel villain, because Vin would make a pretty good Bane.

I agree with Jeremy, He is Bane and the “break Batman’s back” Bane not Poison Ivy’s puppy dog in the movie who’s name shall not be mentioned. I don’t think there is any villan other that Magneto or matbe Apocalypse that can carry their own film, so his choices are limited.
