Yet another ‘Scream’ movie …
Yes, that’s right boys and girls … there will be a ‘Scream 4′ and I for one am EXCITED (not really).
“Yesterday, The Weinstein Company sent out a press release about how it’s signed a 7-year pay-television deal with Showtime, to begin with the company’s 2009 slate (that includes flicks like Inglorious Bastards and Dimension flicks like Youth in Revolt). (Read it in its entirety after the jump.) Nestled towards the end, the press release says the deal includes “the remake of David Cronenberg’s Scanners, re-starting the Scream franchise with Scream 4, and Piranha 3D.”"

I bet none of them come back and it’s a completely new and younger cast. That’s just my guess, but either way, I don’t think this is a good idea.
definitely not a good idea. They shouldnt resurrect this until 2025 when its a classic and they do a “remake” of it and we all talk about how great the original was. kidding of course..sorta.

thats true, it was a toss up..Be super excited about Scanners, or super bummed about Scream 4..i went with scream 4 because its more of a blast to make fun of this movie.
yeah, but super excited is maybe not the term for how I feel about anyone remaking Cronenberg’s Scanners. “filled with a white hot blinding rage” is maybe more what I was thinking.
i kinda like the idea and i heard that lindsay lohan is gonna be in 4 and 5! 3 sucked and 2 was ko?! they need to get back to the orignal small town, young teens and a pshco friend! im selfish and want a new one cause 3 didnt do it for me!!!
