Where are the good Blaxploitation (Shaft, Superfly, Claudine, Education Of Sonny Carson, Lady sings the Blues)or any of the old American International stuff. I will commend you guys for not including (The Departed). This is the most undeserving Best picture. It was a shot by shot remake with one of those 1950′s hollywood endings were the bad guy has to get his in the end. Watch (Infernal Affairs).

i think Apocalypse Now should deserve to be on the list before saving private ryan. If saving private ryan was to be on the list. My argument for that would be Marlon Brando, robert duvall, harrison ford, and martin sheen. One of the great Vietnam era movies. I get that Saving private Ryan is one of the great WWII movies but Band of Brothers will always trump Saving Private Ryan. Plus I think the movie get too much hype due to its opening scene. Not saying its a bad movie I just think Apocalypse now is one that no one should miss.

Also, Panda Huger…Fight club is one of the greatest movies of our generation..by OUR i dont mean YOUR because you must be way too old to appreciate that damn movie.

The Karate Kid is a great flick and would probably make a bunch of lists for people that arent that into film(like i assume you are for even suggesting it).

Not the biggest fan of ’300′ I am … but, ‘Fight Club’ was great! ‘The Karate Kid’ also was good, but not top 100 material (IMO) … “Wax On, Wax Off” … this is why these lists are so darn tough! There’s a ton of films I struggled with but ultimately left off the list. The big question is, how do you determine what makes the list and what doesn’t? I ended up basing mine on what films had the most influence and/or impact on me, combined with their level of achievement and how well they stand up to my standards of repeated viewing. Gee, that sounds more complicated than it actually is …
