Should ‘Robin’ be in the new ‘Batman’ ???
Its a question that is burning around the interwebs today, and the rumors are flying everywhere. Several sites are reporting that Christian Bale was quoted as saying “If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I’ll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work.”
Now this quote is coming from a very unreliable source, so who knows whether to believe it or not. I cant see Bale saying there is absolutely no way he would do a movie if Robin came into the picture. I think he knows if Christopher Nolan came up with it, it could be pulled off.
Now at first thought, Robin being in the new Batman re-imagining really made me cringe, but thinking back about seeing another movie with George Clooney Batman movie provoked the same response. So it got me to thinking..look what Nolan did with Batman, why couldn’t he do the same thing with Robin?? Now I am not saying I want to see him in the next movie, but down the road why wouldn’t it happen? Maybe he could bring in Dick Grayson as a separate movie… talk about how he gets started, like Batman Begins? What do you guys think?

It would be really hard to do it without completely screwing it up, but Nolan might have the ability to make that happen.

I think if done well and right it could be the best thing brought to the franchise. The Robin Character is a very rich character which brings very different elements to the environment and force Batman/Bruce Wayne to reflect on himself even more. He becomes more aware of the risks that he is taking because he isn’t just playing with his own life anymore. I think that Nolan would do this very right. Just look at books like, “Batman: Dark Victory” for your inspiration.

We have a great thing going and you want to ruin it with the boy-blunder?
Keep things as they are. If anyone wants Robin that bad make a Nightwing or Titans movie.
all of you who say no to robin all i have to say is why not? so yeah he ruined the other ones but in this time make him red robin not pansy green tights robin. and give him a smaller role. Many good young actors to play him.
