‘Monster Squad’ remake in the works …

Prep your 80′s nostalgia because they are going to start working on a remake of ‘Monster Squad’! From Bloody Disgusting:
“This afternoon SpookyDan conducted an exclusive one-on-one interview with Rob Cohen, director of Universal’s upcoming The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, who revealed some interesting news about Fred Dekker’s classic ’87 movie. Cohen tells Bloody-Disgusting that Paramount Pictures has acquired the remake rights to Monster Squad, which followed a group of kids hunting down Dracula and his minions who are attempting to take over the world. Cohen also reveals that he is planning to produce the remake, but does not intend on directing.”
My next question is when are they going to remake ‘Little Monsters’?!

Love this movie! Not sure about a remake, but it could could work. All I have to say is … “the Wolfman has nards!”
everyday there is something new to be angry about. everyday, hollywood, every fucking day.
and you are living right in the middle of it! do something about it man..this is bullshit.
utter sacrilege!!!
haha! How dare they attempt to resurrect a cult classic!
resurrection suggests it was dead in the first place. it just got a special edition DVD and its more alive than its been in a long time.
Maybe some of us aren’t as old as you brett (if that is your real name?) and we like something with more CGI and a cool soundtrack (maybe Rob zombie !!!) Just stay home and watch your old silent movies and drink green tea!!!!
haha..i must be old too because i dont want any cgi bullshit!
No CGI. Leave this one alone, especially if its Rob Cohen doing it. UGHH
