Not sure if its release date has hit yet, but the Criterion site has all the details. I had the pleasure of seeing a print of 'Twilight of the Ice Nymphs' at Webster University in Saint Louis a few years back. Maddin was there to present it and also spoke about his work, followed by a Q&A. He's quite an interesting person. During this presentation, Maddin had mentioned 'Twilight' would likely be his last film, but I've also heard he's said that before. The mad genious. Tales from Gimly Hospital tried my patience but I've enjoyed the few others I've seen - particularly Brand Upon the Brain! We're lucky enough in Vancouver to get a chance to see his second film, and the one that got him a lot of international attention, Archangel later this month - a new print to boot! As for My Winnipeg - still waiting. I'm being told the big day will be July 20th! Maddin. The mad genious.
