‘Dark Knight’ First Numbers

Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood Daily is reporting that the midnight showings of ‘Dark Knight’ beat out ‘Star Wars 3: Revenge of the Sith.’ As of 7am pst., the midnight shows $18.4 million take broke the previously held record of $16 million set by Sith in 2005. The question now is will The Dark Knight top Spiderman 3’s $59.84m opening day and its all time best opening weekend record of $151m.

  1. say it together …Yes it will!

where are your numbers on Nikki’s contest?

  2. Michelle says:

    I’m workin on it…HAHAHA

  3. I think it would be amazing if it did beat Spiderman, I am hoping. The Dark Knight deserves the number one spot

  4. I agree, I dont want to see Spiderman 3 at the top of that list..it wasnt even that good! Dark Knight should snag it this weekend.

  5. It has a pretty nice head start if it really did make 18 million just at the midnight showings. I think it can definitely beat the opening day record, but the opening weekend may be a close race. Fingers are crossed.
